Catherine Huang, Staff Writer
Catherine Huang is a sophomore at La Jolla High in her first year in Journalism as a staff writer. Last year, she chose yearbook as her elective course. While she was editing yearbook, she found that she is interested in writing captions, interviewing people, and taking photos. She also felt a sense of accomplishment after her work was published and seen by the school.
Huang is excited about taking Journalism class this year because she wants to improve her writing skills and she enjoys working with people. Huang is looking forward to getting to know every staff member and working closely with them on the Hi-Tide.
With English as her second language, Huang may not have as much experience writing as other students. Yet, she believes her passion for journalism exceeds that of her peers.
