Maggie Hou, Staff Writer
Maggie Hou, a freshman of La Jolla High School and is a new member of The Hi-Tide staff who is excited to be able to research and write stories about current events as a journalist. Journalism plays a crucial role in today’s society, especially when it is so important to have opinions and voices heard. Maggie is looking forward to strengthening her writing capacity with The Hi-Tide.
Maggie enjoys drawing in her free time and swims competitively. Unsurprisingly, she also loves the beach and will often go there to relax. Music is an essential part of her life, whether it’s listening or playing it on an instrument. Her hopes include being able to listen and tell the stories of others and being able to help their voice get heard. She also wants to be able to capture the entirety of a story only with words and pictures.
She is ready and delighted to start her freshman year of highschool with journalism.
