Isaac Lane is a junior at La Jolla High School in his first year of Journalism. Since Lane is new to Journalism, his job is to be a reporter for the Hi-Tide newspaper.

Lane joined Journalism because he is interested in how to formally write for a newspaper. He has been writing academically for over six years now. Lane thinks that working for the Hi-Tide will improve his writing skills and help him in the future.

Since this is his first year, Lane has set a goal to make his writing more unique. He wants people to read his writing and know that he wrote it. Lane has only one more year after his junior year, so he wants to make sure it counts.
