Lilly Henkes is entering her third year as a staff member La Jolla High School’s Hi-Tide. During her first year as a staff member of the Hi-Tide, Lilly worked as a staff writer, where she wrote articles for all different sections of the newspaper. This is where shad has discovered her interest in journalism. She enjoyed writing articles and interviewing her peers at the school. 

Last year, Lilly was the editor for the Student Life page, as well as the Photos page. Her new position was very exciting and her favorite part was when she would see the pages she had worked hard on when she opened up a new printed issue. 

This year will be Lilly’s second year as an editor, she will be the edit the features page. She looks forward to working with a new section, and the new incoming staff members. While the Hi-Tide is currently not in their usual setting, Lilly plans to work hard to make her page both interesting and appealing!
