Q: “How long have you been doing track?”
LS: “I’ve been doing track since freshman year.”
Q: “How is it being team captain, and what is it like working with the other captains on your team?”
LS: “It’s cool to be team captain because I think the younger kids look up to me, and it’s fun working with the other captains.”
Q: “What made you start doing track?”
LS: “I think I started just because I thought I was fast, and also my brother was doing it.”
Q: “Are you going to do track in college?”
LS: “Yes, I’m going to be doing track at UC Davis. I am really excited to continue track there.”
Q: “What has been your favorite memory from all your years of track?”
LS: “When I was still on the same team as my brother in freshman year, and we won the 4 by 100 together. Some of my best memories are from being on the same team as my brother.”
Q: “Is there anything you learned from track you can apply to the rest of your life?”
LS: “I’ve developed a good work ethic and learned how to set a goal and work towards achieving it. Track has taught me how to work hard in sports and other aspects of my life.”
Q: “What is your favorite track event and why?”
LS: “My favorite is probably the 100-meter dash because I’m good at it and it’s the most popular, so it gets the most attention and hype.”
