On Wednesday, January 21st, the wrestling team celebrated their Senior Night after persevering through the winter season. The team overall showed incredible determination, winning many of their meets against competitive schools such as Lincoln High School and University City High School. They continue to work hard, practicing to win every match possible. Despite all players shining in their own way, the seniors have shown incredible dedication throughout their years on the LJHS wrestling team. Wednesday’s senior night recognized seniors Maddie Quach, Beckler Durst, Grace Roman, Noah Pace, Liam Kressin, Patrick Fitzmaurice, Asher Sternberg, and Dylan Haugum. On the same night, the Vikings went up against the San Diego High School Cavers in a series of duals. The seniors showed off their skills before having a ceremony to send off the seniors. They were accompanied by their family as they were honored and received gifts for their dedication to the team. Senior Dylan Haugum said, “Everyone involved did a great job and made it a really cool night. I liked the bobble heads Babcock made for us.” The whole night celebrated the successes of the team.
