Q: “How long have you been playing water polo?”
TM: “Around 10 years now.”
Q: “How long have you been the team captain, and how is it working with the other captains on your team?”
TM: “This is my first year being team captain, and I love the other captains. They are really cool guys, and it’s fun to work with them.”
Q: “What made you start playing water polo?”
TM: “My dad played, and he introduced me to the sport.”
Q: “Are you planning on playing water polo in college?”
TM: “Yes, I am going to Claremont McKenna College, and I will play there.”
Q: “What has been your favorite memory from all your years of water polo?”
TM: “Last year, when we beat Bishops for the first time in a very long time, was my favorite memory.”
Q: “What do you think has been the biggest factor in your success in water polo?”
TM: “I think I am pretty mentally strong and that has helped me a lot.”
Q: “Is there anything you learned from water polo you can apply to the rest of your life?”
TM: “I have definitely developed a good work ethic. I think it is one of the hardest sports, with the amount of swimming and playing at the same time, you have to learn how to be tough and work hard.”
Q: “How do you feel that the season has ended, and do you have any plans to play winter sports?”
TM: “For me, it just keeps going with water polo. I am excited to start my club season, and I have no plans besides that.”
