Twin sisters Drew and Reagan Bennett were featured in a KUSI interview on September 22, 2024, where they discussed their twin bond on court and how it contributes to the team. Growing up playing beach volleyball, they developed a passion for the sport. However, they only transitioned to indoor volleyball the summer before freshman year.
Drew plays as a setter, a crucial role on the team. Reagan, on the other hand, takes on the roles of outside and opposite hitter, where her strength and agility comes into play as she defends against opponents. Their unique positions complement each other, allowing them to leverage their twin connection on the court.
This season started off rocky, but the sisters emphasized how they have turned things around by fostering a supportive environment. Drew stated, “Our chemistry on the court is really good,” highlighting how communication has helped the team grow. They focus on maintaining consistency in their play, believing that a solid team dynamic is essential. Reagan elaborated, “We always find each other, it is unsaid teamwork.” This intuitive understanding translates into effective plays and strategies during matches.
The Bennett twins also recognize the importance of their teammates in this journey. They gave a special shoutout to Jordi Steele and Emma Garrett, acknowledging the contributions they have made. Looking ahead, Drew and Reagan are excited about continuing their volleyball journey by playing club volleyball. Their passion for the sport and commitment to teamwork are evident, and they are determined to carry these values into their future endeavors.
