Viking of the Month: Lana Ferrell

Lana Ferrell is a senior at La Jolla High who has been playing Varsity volleyball and beach volleyball since her sophomore year. She is attending UMiami this fall and plans to continue playing club volleyball. Keep reading for an exclusive interview with volleyball standout Lana Ferrell!

Q. What sport(s) do you play?

LF: Indoor and Beach volleyball.

 

Q. How long have you been playing volleyball?

LF: Since 4th grade.

 

Q. What made you start playing the sport?

LF: All of my friends were doing it.

 

Q. What is your favorite part about the sport?

LF: I love the competitive aspect and how much you learn from your teammates.

 

Q. How has your Beach Volleyball season been so far?

LF: We just finished and placed 3rd in the Open Division.

 

Q. Do you plan on playing volleyball in college?

LF: Not competitively, but I definitely will play club.

 

Q. Do you have any team shoutouts? 

LF: My partner Lindsay Laumann and I just competed at a tournament together in Huntington Beach, so I want to give a shout-out to her!
