Myles Chrispeels is a junior in his first year as a staff writer for the Hi-Tide. Prior to joining the class, he had very little journalistic experience aside from conducting interviews for LJ Radio at Muirlands Middle School. But, Chrispeels is still interested in the class because he wants to get better at writing and journalism seems interesting. 

He is looking forward to interviewing students and staff, but is a little nervous about deadlines. Chrispeels’ one noteworthy art publication was designing the school’s planner cover, but the school did not give him any credit, which upset him.
