About Us
The Hi-Tide, an open forum, is the official student-run publication of La Jolla High School. The exact founding date of the Hi-Tide is disputed, though it is thought to have been in 1926 — four years after the school’s opening.
Unless otherwise noted, opinions voiced in the Hi-Tide belong to the individual author. The Hi-Tide welcomes letters, opinions, or media submissions of any type, in any language, from anyone. You may email submissions to [email protected] or drop them off in room 509. Please include name, email, phone number, and, if a current LJHS student, grade level. The Hi-Tide reserves the right to refuse any material and/or edit for grammar, punctuation, and accuracy. To advertise with the Hi-Tide or to purchase a subscription, please email our Advisor, Glenn Morgan, at [email protected]. No part of the Hi-Tide may be reproduced without written permission. The Hi-Tide is committed to accuracy in its reporting. In the event we make a mistake, we will correct the error on our website and in the next print issue. Please email our editor-in-chief ([email protected]) about corrections.
