Jett Dailey practices water polo on the daily, then immediately after goes to cross country practice, where he is the only freshmen on varsity. Jett has many family members in sports with both his sister and dad involved in cross country because of this he works extra hard to beat them
Q: “So Jett, you got Viking of the Month, how do you feel about that?”
JD: “I feel like it’s pretty cool getting it my first year as a freshman.”
Q: “What position are you in water polo?”
JD: “I play set for the freshmen team.”
Q: “Do you think you got Viking of the Month because of cross country or water polo?”
JD: “Probably because of cross country.”
Q: “You’re the only freshmen varsity in cross country. How do you feel about that?”
JD: “It’s kind of cool to do that my first year and to live up to how my sister also did that her first year.”
Q: “Do you prefer cross country or water polo?”
JD: “There’s good stuff and some stuff that’s not as fun. I mean it’s… some day for cross country. Overall, I just don’t really know yet. I like them both equally right now.”
Q: “How did you do in your last cross country race?”
JD: “Last race, I got… second in the league meet.”
Q: “How did you do in your last water polo match?”
JD: “The last match I played was against Cathedral… And I did pretty decent… I got three goals.”
Q: “Do you feel that your sister also being very good at sports makes you more competitive?”
JD: “Yeah my sister definitely makes me more competitive because…[she] was kinda number one… which made me want to get better. She’s probably the best person to look up to.”
