Actor Ben Affleck and actor/musician Jennifer Lopez are filing for divorce. The couple is splitting up after two years of being together. Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce at the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday, Aug. 20. She was quoted in People saying, “we are two totally different people”. People went on to describe their relationship, stating that “[s]he’s super public and is more social, and he’s more of an introvert and is happy to hang out at home.”
A couple of students from La Jolla High campus have some thoughts on the divorce. Dane Printz, a senior, said, “I think she’s old and tired, and she needs to give up her sad music act.” Astrid Eagon, a junior, added, “I only recognize the name Jennifer Lopez as someone famous but no idea who or what she is; I can’t help but be uninterested.”
Jennifer Lopez claims that she tried to save the marriage many times, this being the second time. However, these many attempts at making the relationship work have been unsuccessful. Sources told People that Lopez made sure that Affleck was okay and that nothing was bothering him, as she wants him to be happy.
