Anticipation is growing as summer ends and one of the most highly awaited seasons of sports starts, the NFL. Games started on September 5, 6, and 8-9, 2024, to kick off the regular season. The attention of everyone is directed towards the new rookie prospect, such as Marvin Harrison Jr. who’s already expected to be an amazing player.
After a long off-season filled with training camps and preseason games, the return of the NFL means a lot more than some would think as senior Chase Dixon stated, “The season is going great, love it.” Although some love this game of Football, others not so much. When senior Myles Plaskonos was asked how he felt about the season started, he had this to say: “I don’t really mind it, I don’t care, I like watching big men hitting each other but not football.” The first game was the Chiefs versus the Ravens, which was an immaculate start to the season. Then, the Green Bay Packers traveled to face the Philadelphia Eagles in an international game in São Paulo, Brazil.
Beyond the field, there are fun traditions, from tailgating to fantasy football leagues, which add to the game’s fun. Fantasy football is a big deal, as drafts were mostly completed one or two weeks prior to the start. Overall, most people love the sport of football and the NFL.
