Gus Rinaldi has been Wrestling since his sophomore year. Now in his senior year, he’s been bringing his all for his last Wrestling season at La Jolla High. Keep reading for an exclusive interview with our two-time Wrestling League Champion!
What sports do you play, and what are you currently in season for?
GR: I do Wrestling and Cross Country.
How long have you been wrestling?
GR: I’ve been wrestling since my sophomore year, so about three years.
What is your favorite part about the sport?
GR: I like winning. It’s also fun to teach the underclassmen moves.
How has your senior season been so far?
GR: It’s been pretty good. I’ve been doing alright at tournaments; I also won League Champion this year and placed 4th at City.
Q: What would you consider your biggest sports achievement?
GR: Probably League Champ for the past two years, and going to the Masters tournament, which is a regional tournament.
Do you plan on wrestling in college?
GR: If I got a scholarship, I would love to.

GR: Nerva Mugisha and Nathan Dickinson.
