Along with this, Ed Sheeran won Favorite Male Artist, Ariana Grande won Favorite Female Artist, and Favorite Music Group going to BTS. Favorite Album went to Billie Eillish for Happier Than Ever, with her song of the same name winning Favorite Song.

I mean sure there are some other favorites like Olivia Rodrigo or Taylor Swift, but Ariana is definitely up there with the best of them.

— Daniel Lee, senior

Senior Daniel Lee believes that Olivia Rodrigo should’ve won Favorite Female Artist. “Personally, I think rising artist Olivia Rodrigo should’ve won as she’s a world renowned grammy winning artist”, Daniel said. However he’s not disappointed that Grande won, as he said “Ariana Grande winning isn’t a problem as she is a very talented musician, singer and songwriter”. Senior Carlos Nemeh, believes that Ariana Grande deserved the award. “I mean sure there are some other favorites like Olivia Rodrigo or Taylor Swift, but Ariana is definitely up there with the best of them.” Between Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift has the most monthly Spotify listeners with 53.9 million, followed by Grande with 53.8 million, and lastly, newcomer Olivia Rodrigo with 44.1 million listeners.
