After season one ending with a cliffhanger, viewers were very thrilled to see how intense the script writer/producer, Sam Levison, could make the next season. Zendaya claims that episode one of season two was one of the most emotionally heavy acting jobs she has ever done. Junior Duncan Carswell says, “The theme revolving around drug use was really important to show to a teen audience to spread the message about being safe about what’s out there.” Getting the chance to express someone with such heavy emotions and a backstory has been an eye opener for her.
