Washington Grocery Store Shooting

One dead, and at least one injured in a shooting in Richland, Washington state supermarket on Monday around 11 a.m.. Authorities stated that suspect Aaron Christopher Kelly, a 39-year-old male, was taken into custody without incident for allegedly opening fire inside the grocery store. Kelly was being transported to Benton County Jail with charges of first-degree attempted murder and first-degree murder said Richland police officer. He was apprehended on Interstate 90, between Sprague and Spokane City, more than a hundred miles from Richland. Police were warned that he might be armed and dangerous and not to approach him but they were able to detain him about 12 hours after the shooting. When asked how he felt about the shooting, freshman Ronaldo Zuniga said, “It really saddened me to hear this, I can’t believe people would actually do that.”

The shooting was called in at 11:03 and the first officer arrived a minute later. Before opening fire, Kelly was seen talking to Krumbah, the conversation was not clear and neither was the motive behind the shooting, said Richland Police Department Cmdr. Chris Lee. Police identified the dead victim as Justin Krumbah, 38. The injured victim is currently hospitalized and in critical condition and has not been identified yet, they will be undergoing surgery on Monday. “I think the US should ban all firearms.
