As he has been at the top of every category for 22 years, Tom Brady is easily the most successful American football player to have ever played. He has seven Super Bowl rings, nominated for 15 Pro-Bowls, won three MVP awards, and is undisputedly going to be a Football Hall of Famer. Tom Brady, however, is retiring this year per ESPN and it will go down in history.

Brady was the 199th pick in the 2000 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots and sat for almost the entirety of his rookie season. It was not until 2001 that the Patriots quarterback Drew Bledsoe got injured when he got his chance. This was his opportunity and the start of prolonged greatness. What has made Tom Brady one of the best is his work ethic that makes him hungry for wins, and his ability to keep his body in such good condition, especially in a sport like football, which is extremely hard to do.

Freshman Benjamin Myers said, “I remember Tom Brady’s comeback in Super Bowl 51. It was amazing to watch.” This is one of his many comebacks that he has compiled throughout the years, and Brady has had multiple game-winning drives that he has led throughout his entire career. Brady is easily one of the most clutch players, always ready for a battle, and never gives up. Freshman Dallas King said, “Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time.”

Brady holds the most playoff passing yards, passing touchdowns, games started, the record for Super Bowl wins, and the most game-winning drives by any player. All in all, Tom Brady has impacted the football community and the game in so many different ways and left great memories for all football fans, whether good or bad, because of all the opponents and dominance he has had over the last 22 years.
