The Super Bowl commercials were ones to remember this year, with many people and news outlets, such as USA Today, describing them as much better than they have been in past years. According to USA Today, one of this year’s most popular commercials was Hyundai’s car commercial featuring John Krasinski, Chris Evans, Rachel Dratch, and David Ortiz. The commercial featured Krasinski speaking in a thick Boston accent. Ortiz is visibly shocked when Krasinski gets out of his Hyundai, as the car continues to self park into a tight spot. This commercial was definitely a favorite among most viewers.

Some Super Bowl viewers had interesting takes on the commercials this year. Junior Luke Brunette said, “The commercials were more entertaining this year than they had been in past years. My favorite commercial was the Planters Peanuts commercial because of how funny it was.” According to USA Today, The Planters Peanuts killed their old peanut who was very old when he fell off of a cliff in the commercial. The company then presented their new mascot, Baby Peanut, which many people have come to adore over the past week. The new peanut has already drawn comparisons to Baby Yoda, who is starring in the Disney+ Series, The Mandalorian

Other Super Bowl viewers, however, were not as impressed. Sophomore Riley Johnson said, “They were alright this year but they could’ve been better. My favorite one was the hummus one with Charli D’Amelio.” D’Amelio is a famous TikTok star who is famous for her dance moves to a variety of songs. In the commercial, she dances and expresses the enjoyment that eating Sabra Hummus gives her. Overall, it is safe to say that the commercials pleased most Super Bowl viewers and they can only hope that they get better in years to come.
