Hello, My Name is Zachary Gamez, I am the Student Focus editor for the Hi-Tide Newspaper of La Jolla High School. This may be my first year in Journalism but I am eager to give the students of La Jolla High a voice. I am a strong writer, as well as creative, so whenever a student is asked a question, I'm sure they have never heard it before. I’m no stranger to La Jolla High or its students! I will always be sure there is equality for all students when it comes to their opinions. I am immersed in the athletics department while being on the football team. Many of my friends work in the Journalism Club and I was told that I would be a great fit for them. My plan for Student Focus as a whole is to get more involved with our students. Right now Student focus is just a question, a picture, and an answer; however id like to start including student polls and voting, and have the students come up with what they would like to be asked as well. Because after all, our students are what makeup La Jolla High. I am so excited for the year ahead and all the Hi-Tide issues I will be a part of with my friends. Go Vikes!
