The 2021-2022 Kia NBA Season is tipping off on Oct. 19. The 75th anniversary season is special for a number of reasons. There will be a team announced in the upcoming days that consists of all the best stars from since the league was started.

Last season, the Atlanta Hawks did way better than anyone could have predicted. This season’s analysts are already dubbing the Chicago Bulls, who added DeMar DeRozan and Lonzo Ball in the offseason to go along with their dynamic duo of Nikola Vucevic and Zach LaVine, as possible dark horses. Senior Brennan Ross said, “Another team that might shock a lot of viewers is the Dallas Mavericks, coached by the infamous Jason Kidd, who are hoping their superstar Luka Doncic can lead them to the heights they once reached under their legend Dirk Nowitzki.”

Zion Williamson is still dealing with injury issues to start this season, an obstacle that has plagued the young star ever since he got to the league. Another young star battling injury is Jamal Murray who missed 48 games last year with a knee issue. The 24-year-old had surgery last April and hopes to come back to help out reigning MVP Nikola Jokic and his supporting cast of Michael Porter Jr. and Aaron Gordon challenge for an NBA title.

The Ben Simmons Saga in Philadelphia continues as it seems the young star is looking to force a move to a new team. “The drama started last season when Simmons was criticized for his lack of shooting ability and instead of working on his shooting in the off-season he complained and apparently promised he would never play for the 76’ers again,” said senior Julio Jativa. The bridge seems to be burned as 76’ers fans have pretty much given up on him being a key member of their squad. Overall it seems like NBA fans are in store for a very exciting season.
